Recalling Health to the Body Essentials
Dietary and Nutritional Supplementation: finding a good daily vitamin, preferably in liquid form for maximum assimilation, a good overall old-fashioned tonic for energy and mental clarity, and a good colon cleanser to prevent the build up of toxins in the body is essential. Here are three supplement companies I recommend. Among them, you should find the supplemental nutrients you require for your particular needs: Xtend Life, Awareness Life and Matol KM. (Read some of my reviews and testimonial here).
Prevention: if you do cook your foods, do not use aluminum based cookware, as it has been implicated in the development of Alzheimer’s disease. Also, use underarm deodorants instead of antiperspirants because of the use of aluminum as a major ingredient in the latter.
Exercising: choose any exercise to suit your lifestyle and current health condition, but do some and stay active. Some form of aerobic exercise and weight training should be a part of your weekly exercise regimen. Leading a sedentary lifestyle is detrimental to maintaining a healthy body. Remember, too, that exercising on a full stomach is harmful. On the other hand, feel free to walk a little after you have a meal “so that the food might settle”, the Master has said.
Skin Care: The skin is the largest organ of the body. Most of what you put on it is absorbed. Stop putting all sorts of chemicals on it which you have no idea what they might do to you. Some ingredients used in the manufacture of cosmetic products have been linked to cancer, so it is best to use natural ingredients to care for your skin, like olive oil, shea butter, aloe vera. Of these, my favorite is shea butter because of its many healing, protection, moisturizing, medicinal and preventative properties. You can learn more at Recalling Health’s SheaButterCenter.com or pick up some pure, unrefined shea at the SheaButterMall.com.
Practicing Moderation in All Things, including learning to eat more simply by not combining so many different types of food at one meal setting; or moderation may take the form of your not being so preoccupied with gaining material things, which ultimately may lead to your getting more real rest and relaxation. When you are not frantically pacing up and down trying to keep up with the Jones, your stress level decreases and life can become enjoyable again.
Overcoming Bad Habits which do obvious harm to the body is also essential to creating optimal health. Below are just a few of the obvious one. You should avoid:
-
Smoking
-
Drinking alcohol or using so called "recreational drugs"
-
Self medicating and not consulting qualified health care professionals and/or nutritionists and naturopaths when you have a health concern
-
Promiscuity. (This is not a value judgment but just a scientific fact that the more you expose yourself to sexual relationships outside of a committed relationship i.e. the marital bond, the more likely you are to contract a communicable sexually transmitted disease), and
-
Not treating sugar as an addictive drug. Read Sugar Blues to get the background on this potentially dangerous substance.
Oh...and one more thing...did I mention eliminating the "whites" from your diet--white breads, white rice, white sugar, white grits, white .... you get the picture. These foods are all without nutritional value as the vital nutrients have been stripped away in the manufacturing process.
